The Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) is your platform to voice quality-of-life issues, feedback, ideas, and suggestions.

Army Family Team Building (AFTB) empowers you, through self-development and leadership skills, basic Army knowledge and specialized training, to maximize your personal and professional potential. 

Focuses on supporting Fort Rucker Soldiers, Family members, surviving spouses, and civilian personnel through community involvement. Volunteer opportunities are available both on and off post.

The Employment Readiness Program (ERP) offers opportunities and resources to help with your career plan and job campaign efforts. Regular workshops covering the essentials of the federal and private-sector employment processes, along with 1-on-1 appointments give you the tools you need to make your campaigns less frustrating and more productive!  Whether you’re a military spouse or Family member who just moved to a new installation, Retiree, or DoD civilian looking for new opportunities, or active duty Military, active Reserve, National Guard member, or Wounded Warrior, we’re here to help.

The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) provides comprehensive support to Family members with special needs. EFMP takes an all-inclusive approach to coordinate military and civilian community, educational, medical, housing, and personnel services to help Soldiers and their Families with special needs.

An Exceptional Family Member is a Family member with any physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder that requires special treatment, therapy, education, training, or counseling, and meets the eligibility criteria.

Soldiers with Exceptional Family Members are required to register for EFMP and keep enrollment information current. This way, Family needs will be considered during the  assignments process.

All family members must be screened in order to accompany authorized Soldiers on OCONUS assignments. Screenings include medical records review for all Family members and developmental screening for all children aged 72 months and younger.

The U.S. Army Family Advocacy Program (FAP) helps Soldiers and Families recognize and meet the unique challenges of military lifestyles. Our services include seminars, workshops, counseling, and intervention to help strengthen Army Families, enhance resiliency and relationship skills, and improve quality of life.

The Financial Readiness Program is your prime resource for information on personal financial management.

Army Emergency Relief is the U.S. Army's own nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating financial distress on the force.

Assists service members and their families (Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve components, Retires and Dependents, Department of Defense civilians, and their eligible Family members) with information regarding military and civilian resources. 

*Military & Family Life Counselors are on call and can meet outside of duty hours by appointment.

The Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Deployed Military/Civilian Spouse or Guardian's Blue Star Card Program is a DFMWR discount and activity card for Spouses or Guardians of children of Soldiers who are deployed or on an unaccompanied tour of duty. Spouses of Soldiers who are deployed qualify for the Blue Star Card program.

What is the Never Forgotten Card?

A discount and activity card intended to enhance the well-being of the Families of Fallen Service Members and recognize the sacrifices they have made.

School Support Services provides Army school-aged youth with educational opportunities, resources and information necessary to achieve academic success. A branch of Child & Youth Services (CYS), School Support Services features School Liaison Officers (SLOs), who help schools, installations and Families work together for student achievement.

Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) offers you access to support, information, and services, closest to where you live, when you need it and for as long as you need it. Survivor Outreach Services is part of the Army Casualty Continuum of Care. It’s designed to provide long-term support to surviving Families of Fallen Soldiers. Our goal is to reassure Survivors that they remain valued members of the Army Family.
