Arts and Crafts program offers a wider variety of hobbies and skill classes monthly, such as sewing, quilting, stained glass, mosaics, drawings and painting, wood burning, and framing classes for adults. We also offer pick and paint for children ages four and older. 

The Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program represents the voice of the single Soldiers. If you're a single Soldier, BOSS members advocate for you by advancing quality of life issues on the installation, and in the barracks, to senior leaders on post and throughout the Army.  "Let Your Voice Be Heard"

The BOSS program is based on three program pillars:

• Quality of Life
• Community Service
• Recreation and Leisure

As a member of BOSS, you have a voice in how you live, how you spend your leisure time and how you support the community around you. BOSS Single Soldiers:

• Coordinate and participate in community service projects
• Organize recreation and leisure activities
• Actively support the quality of life needs of single Soldiers

The Fort Rucker Physical Fitness Center (PFC) is a sixty-four thousand square foot facility offer a variety of cardiovascular equipment ranging from treadmills to Concept2 rowers; LifeFitness selectorized equipment; and a free-weight and dumbbell area with Hammer Strength Equipment. The PFC organizes and hosts a variety of fitness programs and events including personal training, group fitness, competitive and noncompetitive running events, health-promotion events, and racquetball tournaments.

The Fortenberry-Colton Physical Fitness Center is a twently-three thousand square foot modern facility that boasts state of the art LifeFitness cardiovascular equipment, Nautilus selectorized strength equipment, and LifeFitness free weights

Group Fitness Classes  

This fitness center is dedicated to serving the needs of our patrons by providing professional instruction, a safe enviroment and chance to get a great workout.

Fort Rucker has several excellent lakes and ponds for fishing: Lake Tholocco, Beaver Lake, Buckhorn Lake, Ech Lake, Beaver Pond, and Parcours Lake.

Fort Rucker also offers deer, turkey and hog hunting. All hunters 16 years of age and above must complete and be in possession of the valid hunter's education car.

Lake Tholocco has much to offer Fort Rucker and the surrounding communities. With visitors year-round taking part in all of what Family and MWR has to offer. The lake is a never-ending outlet for outdoor enthusiasts. The Lake offers numerous recreational activities, such as boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing. Cabins and RV spots are available on a nightly basis.
