Sports, Fitness, and Aquatics is home to an Indoor 8 lane, 25-meter heated pool. SFA supports PT, instructional swim for active-duty soldiers, military trainings, and hosts a myriad of recreational activities that includes Water Aerobics, Senior Swim, American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification courses, Adult and Youth Swim lesson, a non-profit post approved youth swim team, and a host site to a local high school swim team.

The Fort Rucker Automotive Skills Center has a Self-Help option, which provides the equipment you need to save money on do-it-yourself car maintenance and repairs. Here patrons have access to professional assistance, tools, and equipment. Stop by today to learn how we can help with your automobile repairs and questions. The twenty-six bay center has thirteen automotive lifts, two motorcycle lifts, twelve flat bays (non-lift), a paint booth, and a body bay. The center is easily accessible to Soldiers and their Families with operational hours tructed to meet their needs.

Holiday Inspections

Free vehicle inspections are available on posted dates. The Free Holiday Safety Inspections Program provides inspections prior to Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Lemon Lot

We are also the registration point for Fort Rucker's Lemon Lot, which is a paved and fenced area where you can sell your personal vehicles, RVs, motorcycles, boats and ATVs.

Patrons may utilize the Lemon Lot to sell their cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RV’s, trailers and other recreational vehicles. The Lemon Lot is located on Andrews Avenue, just past the Soldier Service Center, Building 5700, towards Enterprise on the left.

All vehicles must be registered with Auto Skills to utilize the lot. Proof of ownership (registration, title, bill of sale, power of attorney, etc.) and ID card are required for registration. Owner of the vehicle must be present or have power of attorney for item being sold. Register in person at Auto Skills.

Fort Rucker has several excellent lakes and ponds for fishing: Lake Tholocco, Beaver Lake, Buckhorn Lake, Ech Lake, Beaver Pond, and Parcours Lake.

Fort Rucker also offers deer, turkey and hog hunting. All hunters 16 years of age and above must complete and be in possession of the valid hunter's education car.

Lake Tholocco has much to offer Fort Rucker and the surrounding communities. With visitors year-round taking part in all of what Family and MWR has to offer. The lake is a never-ending outlet for outdoor enthusiasts. The Lake offers numerous recreational activities, such as boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing. Cabins and RV spots are available on a nightly basis.

MWR Leisure Travel is a full-service travel agency that provides a range of travel services to Active Duty, Retired military personnel, their Family members, DoD Civilians, and other members of the military community. We are also your one-stop shop to receive the latest and greatest information on MWR events and activities on Fort Rucker. You are able to register for special event tickets may be purchased at your MWR Leisure Travel Office.

The Fort Rucker Riding Stables is located on Hatch Road just south of the Silver Wings Golf Club, surrounded by over 10,000 acres of beautifully wooded trails. The complex includes a clubhouse with bathroom facilities. Four community pastures, hay barn, 40 duplex barns with individual tack rooms and paddocks are available on-site as well as 24 stalls for transient and show horses.

The Fort Rucker Riding Stables has two regulation dressage rings and two breaking pens. A lighted western arena and lighted jump/show arena covered farriers' shed and double wash stalls with warm water are also available to patrons. We also offer a convenient flexible feed service program to patrons.

The Landing offers a top-of-the-line facility to serve the Fort Rucker and the surrounding communities. Throughout the year, special events are held in the many special areas of the facility. The Landing can accommodate parties, proms, hail and farewells, weddings and more. The Landing offers an extensive lunch menu to please the most concerning of appetites, a great place for the community to enjoy the best The Landing has to offer.
