Freedom Fest

Celebrate our Nation's independence with Fort Rucker at Freedom Fest on Friday, June 30! The Wiregrass community is invited to the Fort Rucker’s Festival Fields on June 30 from 4 pm to 10 pm for a day of celebration, food, activities and fun! Enjoy one of the largest firework displays in the area; an annual tradition for Families throughout the Wiregrass. Enjoy a kids’ zone with inflatables, rides, games and a variety of local and regional vendors, along with static aircraft displays. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets and kick back and revel in the show. The Army's MCoE Detachment Band will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening with a Patriotic Concert starting at 7 pm. Freedom Fest is proudly sponsored by our Independence Level Sponsors; L3-Army Fleet Support, Bell Helicopter, Sikorsky and our event sponsors; Boeing, Medical Center Enterprise, USAA, and Sam Boswell Honda. (Sponsorship does not imply U.S. Army or DoD endorsement.) Admission to the event is FREE and open to the public. Gate Access Pass is Required. Unescorted visitors planning to attend Freedom Fest must obtain a Visitor's Pass from one of the two Visitor Control Centers (VCC) or be escorted on-post by an authorized escort (Military/DoD/Retiree). The VCCs WILL NOT be open on June 30, the day of Freedom Fest. Passes must be obtained prior to event.
There are a few items prohibited at Freedom Fest, including no coolers, backpacks (except for medical and baby care items), no pets, no fireworks of any kind, no glass containers, no weapons (guns, knives, pepper spray, etc.) and no bicycles, scooters, roller blades or skateboards.
