Get 'Sew' Creative This October with MWR!

The Arts & Crafts Center is thrilled to announce our full lineup of October Sewing Classes! Whether you're a complete beginner, need a hand with a tricky project, or just want to sew in good company, we have a class for you.

For just $5 per person, per class, you can sharpen your skills, tackle new projects, and get into the fall spirit. Join us for one class or sign up for them all! Click here for a printable event flyer!

October Class Schedule

All classes start at 9:30 AM, unless otherwise noted.

• October 6: Paper Pieced Pumpkin Block

  • Get festive and create a beautiful pumpkin block perfect for fall decor.

  • Please bring 3 different colors of orange fat quarters.

• October 13: Halloween Costume Help

  • Don't get spooked by your costume project! Bring it in, and we'll provide the expert help you need to get it ready for Halloween.

• October 20: Sewing Help Session

  • *Please note: This class begins at 10:00 AM.*

  • Stuck on a project? Have questions about a technique? Bring in your current work for personalized assistance.

• October 24: Beginner Class

  • Have you always wanted to learn to sew? This is the class for you! We'll cover the basics and get you started on your sewing journey.

• October 27: "Sewcial" - Finish Your Projects!

  • Join our "Sewcial" gathering! Bring in those unfinished projects (UFOs) and enjoy a dedicated time to sew, socialize, and finally get them done.

Important Information

• Cost: $5 per person, per class.

• Time: All classes begin at 9:30 AM, with the exception of the "Sewing Help" class on Oct 20th, which starts at 10:00 AM.

• Location: Arts & Crafts Center, Bldg. 9205 Ave.

How to Sign Up & Prepare:

• Please call (334) 255-9020 or email RUCKERARTSANDCRAFTS@ARMY.MIL to get a supply list for your class or to reserve a sewing machine.

• Missed a class? Don't worry! Make-up classes will be available. Contact us for details.
