💜 Celebrate Our Military Kids: The Dandelions of Our Community 💜
April is the Month of the Military Child, a time dedicated to honoring the incredible resilience and spirit of our nation's youngest heroes. This year, we celebrate them with the symbol of the dandelion.
Why a dandelion? Because much like this determined flower, military children can put down roots and bloom wherever the winds of service may carry them. They adapt to new homes, new schools, and new friends, all while their parents proudly serve. They are strong, resilient, and they serve too.
How You Can Show Support: Purple Up!
Join us in a powerful show of community support by participating in "Purple Up! For Military Kids" Day on Wednesday, April 15th.
Wearing purple is a visible way to thank and honor our military children. Purple is the color chosen to represent them because it combines the official colors of all branches of the military—Army green, Air Force blue, Navy blue, Marine red, and Coast Guard blue.
Let's turn our community into a sea of purple to show our military children just how much we appreciate them!
