Learn a New Skill: Join Our Beginner Knitting Classes!

Have you always wanted to learn how to knit? Now is the perfect time! The Arts & Crafts Center is excited to offer a series of beginner knitting classes designed to teach you the fundamentals and get you started on your crafting journey. These casual, drop-in classes are perfect for absolute beginners.

Our series kicks off with two foundational classes:

  • April 3: Foundations (2:30 PM - 4:00 PM)
In our first class, you'll learn the essential starting blocks of knitting. We will cover how to create a slipknot, the process of casting on, and mastering the basic knit stitch.

  • May 8: The Purl Stitch (2:30 PM - 4:00 PM)
Ready for the next step? This class introduces the purl stitch and teaches you how to alternate between knit and purl stitches to create beautiful, textured fabric.

Additional follow-up classes will be available to help you continue building your skills!
