Have you always wanted to learn the relaxing and rewarding art of crochet? The Arts & Crafts Center is excited to offer a series of beginner crochet classes designed to teach you the fundamentals and get you started on your very first project. These casual, drop-in classes are perfect for anyone who has never picked up a hook before.
Our series kicks off with two foundational classes:
-
April 17: Foundations (2:30 PM - 4:00 PM)
In our first class, you'll learn the essential starting blocks of crochet. We will cover how to create a slipknot, the process of chaining, and mastering the single crochet stitch. -
May 22: The Half Double & Double Crochet (2:30 PM - 4:00 PM)
Ready for the next step? This class introduces the half double and double crochet stitches and teaches you the simple technique for changing colors in your work.
Additional follow-up classes will be available to help you continue building your skills!
