💜 Let's Turn Fort Rucker Purple! Wear Purple on April 15th for Military Kids!
April is the Month of the Military Child, a time for us to recognize and applaud the resilience, sacrifice, and spirit of our youngest heroes. Military children are like dandelions—they can put down roots and bloom wherever the service sends their families.
To show our overwhelming support and appreciation, the entire Fort Rucker community is invited to participate in "Purple Up! For Military Kids" day.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, we ask you to wear purple!
Why purple? It's the color that represents all branches of our military, combining the colors of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard into a single, unified hue. By wearing it, you are sending a powerful message of solidarity and thanks to every military child.
Get your office, your unit, your family, and your friends involved. Let's create a sea of purple across Fort Rucker and show our military kids how much their community supports them.
