Join us as we take over the runway at Lowe Army Heliport. The Mogadishu Mile 5K honors the courage and ultimate sacrifice of the service members who fought in the Battle of Mogadishu (Operation Gothic Serpent). Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026

• Location: Lowe Army Heliport

• Start Time: The race will begin promptly at 0800

• Same-Day Registration: Available starting at 0645

Registration Information:

You can register at the Main Physical Fitness Center or online via WebTrac.

• Individual Registration: $30

  • Includes a commemorative t-shirt, a special event coin, and a race bib with a timing chip.

• Team Registration: $200 for a team of 8.

  • The top-finishing team will receive a mini banner and medallions.

Awards:

Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in 11 different age categories for both Male and Female divisions. Special awards will be given for:

• Top Overall Male/Female

• Grandmaster Male/Female

Event Rules & Information:

• The event is open to the public. A valid government-issued photo ID is required for access.

• This is a stroller-friendly event.

• For safety reasons, no pets are allowed on the course.
