2 Mile Color Run

On Saturday, August 25 the Physical Fitness Center will host a two Mile Color Run at the Fort Rucker Festival Fields. Race Wave Start times: 8:00 am, 8:15 am and 8:30 am according to bib number. Participants are encouraged to pre-register, forms are available at either PFC or MWR Central. Pre-registration packet pick up: Friday 24 August 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Fortenberry-Colton PFC. Race day registration/packet pick-up: 25 August 6:30 a.m. – 7:40 a.m.; Pre-Race brief at 7:45 a.m. This is not a timed event. Racers should plan to wear white clothing for best color display. All participants will be doused in clouds of colored powder, made from a cornstarch base. It is highly recommended to have a towel in your vehicle to sit on for the drive home! Refreshments will be provided at the finish line.

Race Course:

The race route is a 2 mile loop. Event will begin on Festival Fields on Andrews Avenue.

*Fort Rucker MWR uses colored powder made from a cornstarch base, proven to be safe to humans and animals, and biodegradable. Those with asthma or any other respiratory issue are at higher risk of experiencing adverse effects due to the dust, and children under the age of 12 are also susceptible to inhalation hazards. Contact lens wearers should also plan to wear eye protection, or at least sunglasses during the event.

Cost

Pre-registration fee: $25 for age 13 and over

First 200 paid registered participants will receive a t-shirt. Kids 12 and under are free with an option to purchase a t-shirt for $10 - youth sizes only.
Registration Information

Registration forms will be at both the Fortenberry-Colton Physical Fitness Center and the Fort Rucker Physical Fitness Center, as well as at MWR Central in Building 5700. Entry forms will also be available to print off on the MWR website: https://www.rucker.armymwr.com. Entry forms can be processed and paid for (with cash, check or credit card) at either Physical Fitness Center, or at MWR Central. If mailing in your registration form, please do not send cash, make check out to IMWRF and mail to:
